In detail
This is the first step of the routine, before you wash. Part dry hair into sections and dot the oil along each part with the precision nozzle. It goes on the scalp, not all over your hair.
Rosemary leaf oil leads, fresh and herbal. Ginger root oil adds a warm, spicy note, peppermint a light cooling feel as you massage it in, and vanilla softens the finish. Vitamin E and glycerin keep the scalp feeling comfortable, not tight.
Massage for a minute or two with your fingertips or the Scalp Massager. Leave it on for half an hour, or overnight, then wash it out with the Scalp Bar. Once or twice a week is plenty.

How to use it
On dry hair, part your hair into sections.
Apply a few drops along each part with the nozzle.
Massage into the scalp with your fingertips or the Scalp Massager for one to two minutes.
Leave it on for at least 30 minutes, or overnight with a towel on your pillow.
Wash it out with the Scalp Bar. Use it once or twice a week.

Do I use it before or after washing?
Before. It's a pre-wash oil: apply it to a dry scalp, leave it on, then wash it out with the Scalp Bar. Give the bar a couple of extra passes so the oil rinses away fully.
Can I leave it on overnight?
Yes. Put a towel over your pillow, since oil can mark fabric, and wash it out in the morning.
Will it leave my hair greasy?
It's made to be washed out. If your hair still feels oily after the wash, use a few drops less next time and lather twice.
Will it help with hair loss?
No. The Scalp Oil is a cosmetic pre-wash oil: it gives your massage slip, an herbal scent and a cooling feel, and then it washes out. It does not treat hair loss or any scalp or skin condition. For sudden, patchy or heavy shedding, or any scalp problem, please see a doctor or a board-certified dermatologist.
How do shipping and returns work?
Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate delivery charge. Orders ship within 1 to 3 business days and arrive in 7 to 12 business days. Import duties and customs fees are paid by us. If a carrier ever asks you for any, contact us and we will cover it in full. Unopened products in their original condition, and an unused Scalp Massager or Bamboo Bar Dock, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. For hygiene reasons, an opened or used Scalp Bar, Conditioner Bar or Scalp Oil cannot be returned. A defective, damaged or wrong item is replaced or refunded, even if opened.
