Our products are simple to use, and using them well starts with a few plain rules. This page brings together the safety information and the key ingredients of every OREUM product. The instructions on each pack come first: please read them before you use a product for the first time.

Cosmetics, not medicines
The Scalp Bar, The Conditioner Bar and Rosemary & Ginger Scalp Oil are cosmetics under the US Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They cleanse, condition and scent the scalp and hair. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. In particular, they do not treat hair loss or any scalp or skin condition.
If you notice sudden, patchy or heavy shedding, or have a scalp problem that worries you, please see a doctor or a board-certified dermatologist. The Scalp Massager and the Bamboo Bar Dock are accessories for the routine, not medical devices.
How to use our formulas safely
- For external use only. Use the formulas on the scalp and hair only. Do not swallow them.
- Eyes: avoid contact with the eyes. If it happens, rinse well with plenty of lukewarm water. If discomfort continues, see a doctor.
- Patch test: if your skin reacts easily, do a patch test first, as described below.
- Stop if your skin reacts: if redness, burning, swelling, discomfort or any other reaction appears, stop using the product, rinse well with water and tell us. If the reaction does not settle, see a doctor.
- Broken skin: do not use on broken, cut, sunburned or irritated skin.
- Essential oils: The Scalp Bar and the Scalp Oil contain essential oils. If you are pregnant, nursing or under medical care, ask your doctor before using them.
- Children: keep all products out of reach of children. Our formulas are made for adults: ask a doctor before using them on a child. If a child swallows some, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 (poison.org) or get medical help right away.
- Follow the pack: use each product only as described on its pack and product page.
The patch test
- For a bar, wet it and rub a little lather on the inside of your elbow, then rinse after a minute. For the oil, apply one drop on the inside of your elbow and leave it.
- Wait 24 hours without washing the area.
- If you notice redness, burning, swelling or any discomfort, do not use the product. If your skin stays calm, you can use it as described on the pack.
A patch test lowers the chance of a surprise, but it cannot rule out every reaction. Stay attentive the first few times you use a product.
Allergies and fragrance
Essential oils are made of many fragrance components, and some of them can cause skin reactions in sensitive people, even when they come from plants. Peppermint gives a cooling feel that some people find strong.
- The Scalp Bar contains essential oils including rosemary, peppermint, ginger root and tea tree.
- Rosemary & Ginger Scalp Oil contains rosemary leaf, ginger root and peppermint oils, with vanilla.
- If you know you react to an ingredient or a fragrance, read the complete ingredient list on the pack before use, or email us and we will send it to you before you order.
In the shower
- A wet bar is slippery. Hold it firmly, and put it down on its dock or a flat ledge when you massage.
- Oil and lather make a shower floor or a bathtub slippery. Rinse them off the floor and take care when you step in and out.
- Keep lather out of your eyes: tilt your head back when you rinse.
Storage
- Store the bars dry between washes, on the Bamboo Bar Dock or another draining dish, out of the shower stream.
- Keep the Scalp Oil tightly closed, upright, away from heat and direct sunlight.
- Keep all products out of reach of children.
- If a product changes in smell, color or texture, stop using it and write to us.

The Conditioner Bar is for the lengths and ends: keep it off the scalp. The Scalp Oil is applied to a dry scalp before washing and is always washed out with the Scalp Bar.
The Scalp Massager
- Hold it by the knob and move it in small circles with light pressure. There is no need to press hard.
- Do not use it on broken, cut or irritated skin, or over a spot or a wound.
- Rinse it after each use and let it dry bristles down, in the open air.
- Keep it for your own use, for hygiene.
- If a bristle tears or comes loose, stop using it and write to us.
- It is not a toy: keep it out of reach of young children.
The Bamboo Bar Dock
- Place it on a flat, stable surface, out of the shower stream, ideally with a little air around it.
- Let it dry between uses. Bamboo that stays wet can darken, and mildew can form.
- Rinse it every week or two with water and a little soap, and let it air dry. Do not soak it or put it in the dishwasher.
- If it splits or cracks, stop using it and write to us.
Reporting a reaction
If you have a reaction to one of our products, stop using it. If the reaction is serious, get medical care first. In an emergency, call 911.
Then email us at mk.beramicedracan@gmail.com with "Reaction" in the subject line: the product, your order number if you have it, when and how you used it, what happened and, if you can, a photo. We answer within 2 business days, and faster when we can.
We keep a record of every report. Dracan Market LLC is the responsible person for our cosmetics in the United States. As the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 requires, we keep records of adverse events and report serious ones to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). You can also report a reaction to the FDA directly through MedWatch.

California Proposition 65
California's Proposition 65 requires a warning for products that can expose you to chemicals the State of California lists as causing cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. If a warning is ever required for one of our products, it will appear on its product page, before you buy, and on its pack.
Recalls and safety notices
If we ever need to recall a product or share a safety notice, we will email everyone who bought it, using the email address given with the order. We will also publish a notice on this page and on the product page, explaining clearly what to do and how we will put it right, at no cost to you.
